We've treated over 5,000 animals almost entirely with private donations at an average cost of $45 per animal.           Thank you for your ongoing support of our area wildlife.          Almost 90% of our patients are in trouble due to conflicts with our cars, our pets, our new homes, and our chemicals.           We must learn to share the world with our wild neighbors.

Don't assume a healthy fawn is an orphan until you call a wildlife rehabilitator. Mothers often leave their fawns hidden for hours returning only at dawn and dusk.

This healthy fawn was found at Hardin Ridge by campers and believed to be orphaned. WildCare did not think the chances of being reunited with its natural mother good because it had been kept for two days before being admitted. It was placed with other fawns in our Barn Room. As they grow, they are moved up to the Deer Pen. In September they are loaded into a horse trailer and released on private property. Transition food is provided; they also have access to corn and bean fields, a lake, and thick woods.

Licensed wildlife rehabilitators can be contacted 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m
