Raptor Room . . .$4,000

The Raptor Room is for our highly sensitive birds of prey. Access is limited to a minimum volunteer crew that has been trained to work quickly and quietly. Raptors imprint easily so volunteers either wear camouflage capes and hoods when feeding them, or use the new feeding boxes.

Nutrition Center . . . $2,000

WildCare's Nutrition Center is a hub of activity during baby season May to August. Frozen lunch boxes are prepared in huge quantities and kept in freezers for the fast-growing mammal orphans. These diets are scientifically tested by national organizations for each species. Sanitation and safety are uppermost. A variety of seeds and nuts must be kept for the birds. IU supplies the frozen rodents for the birds of prey.

Library . . . $4,000

Our library of reference books can be used by our volunteers on site or books may be checked out. This room also serves as our reception area when special groups are invited during our off season fundraising events. The many certificates earned by our volunteers are proudly displayed.

Volunteer Area

Volunteer Area . . .$2,000

WildCare volunteers have their own frig and snack counter as well as a relaxation area upstairs. This is also where small committee meetings are held.

Admin Area

Admin Area . . . $2,000

The admin area is where our executive volunteer officers keep the business end of WildCare organized, but we hope to have it filled by our first paid Executive Director very soon.

Barn Room

Barn Room . . . $4,000

Our Barn Room has a dirt floor so straw can be strewn for the fawns when they arrive in June. Until then it is full of rabbit orphans as they arrive about a month earlier. During the winter months it houses our squirrels that are overwintered. The two garage-style doors can open for fresh air and sunshine. One of the doors opens to a small fenced in area for fawns to take sun naps before they are old enough to be moved to the Deer Pen.
