WildCare Inc. was incorporated in the spring of 2001 to not only provide professional care to sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife so they may be returned to the wild, but also education outreach programs focusing on the value of sharing the planet with our wild neighbors. Formerly we were part of the Monroe County Humane Association (MCHA) until they refocused their mission to only servicing companion animals.

Our new Center, located 2 miles west of 37 on Third Street, has over 6,000 square feet of inside space for these efforts. This Center sits on 3 acres of land with outside pre release caging for animals to "wild up" before dispersal. Our facility is not open to the public as a condition of our licensing, but we have an education outreach program with non releasable ambassadors.

We have taken in over 10,000 animals since we were incorporated in 2001. Roughly half our intakes are wild birds and reptiles and half, wild mammals.
