Mercury
Radiographs indicated no apparent orthopedic or organ-related damage, but the mercury level was very high. The feathers were dirty and frayed; the eagle was weak, but standing. It was alert, however, and responsive. There was superficial bruising. The medicine administered combined with the mercury, which acted to detox the raptor.
